Detective Pikachu 2 is getting a surprise reveal on the internet. Expected release “soon”

Before the movie, Detective Pikachu hit the nintendo 3ds family of return systems in 2016. We got to see a special talking little Pikachu disguised as sherlock Holmes. Tim Good man collaborated with Pikachu on a mystery-solving adventure game, walking around scenes and sniffing out clues. But we might get another episode of the game soon, Detective Pikachu as soon as information begins to surface regarding the title.

Information pointing to the second iteration of the title was marked with a Famiboards user on LinkedIn. The user found an entry on the website for jonathan Murphya senior game programmer who works at Creatures Inc. The entry informed LinkedIn users that he was working on an unannounced project and was about to be released. In his own words, he was working on Detective Pikachu 2. The game, which the pokemon company announced several years ago currently has no official release date.

The last we heard of the game was when news of a job opening surfaced on the internet for Creatures Inc in February. It was in the announcement that a programmer by the name of KT revealed that he was:

We are working on the sequel to Detective Pikachu, programming the canvas, while creating a system in the environment development office that will serve as the basis for future game production in general.

With the daily appearance of new technologies, I believe that ray tracing, which calculates the color and brightness of objects by tracking light rays, and super-resolution technologies such as DLSS will become indispensable, KT

Currently, the environment development department is working on physics-based rendering support and is striving for a balance between realism and Pokémon-ness. With the daily appearance of new technologies, ray tracing, which calculates the color and brightness of objects by tracing light rays, and super-resolution technology such as DLSS, will probably become essential. We also pay attention to the technologies introduced in the latest game engines such as Unreal Engine 5. – kt

There are rumors floating around that Detective Pikachu 2 will bring the Unreal Engine 5 into the mix to potentially resemble visuals from the standalone Detective Pikachu movie. The Nintendo Switch could certainly achieve this with a few compromises. Currently, the Switch supports Unreal Engine 5 and Detective Pikachu 2 might be a prime candidate for that. But that might not be the case, because all the posts and interviews pointing to Detective Pikachu 2 list the Unity Engine.

As for a Detective Pikachu movie sequel, despite the film’s success, rumors of a sequel to the film’s title were quickly quashed by one of the film’s original stars. Justice Black-smith informed in an interview that while he would love to be on board a Detective Pikachu 2, he’s not too sure if that can happen in the near future.

“I would love to be part of Detective Pikachu 2,” Smith said, adding, “I don’t know if it’s going to happen. I think we kind of have to bury our hopes. I don’t think it’s going to happen. I I really hope so. Honestly, I’m such a fan, who knows, who knows? I hope so.” – Justice Smith

Originally announced in 2019, the sequel to Detective Pikachu would build on the storyline of the first iterations. Detective Pikachu 2 will be available on the nintendo switch when he came out.

So what do you think of the upcoming Detective Pikachu 2 for the nintendo switch? Will fans be able to enjoy a fun yet simple Unity build or will we have an Unreal Engine 5 powered showcase with a new Switch variant added into the mix? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below. We upload daily to Appuals, so stay tuned for more. In the meantime, see you later and goodbye.
